About Treglio Communications

 

Treglio Communications was started in the Spring of 2005 by Mark Treglio, a Jacksonville Fire Fighter.  Mark got an introduction to promotions and public relations when he was hired by Jacksonville’s hit music station WAPE 95.1 FM and its sister station, Rock 104.5 FM in 1997.  Over a period of four years, Mark worked in the promotions department and represented WAPE and Rock 104.5 at most of Jacksonville’s premier events, such as The Opening of the Beaches, The Bausch and Lomb Tournament, The Jacksonville Southern Women’s Show, and hundreds of smaller events.  This is where Mark was fortunate enough to learn from the best when it came to promoting a client.

  A firefighter by trade, Mark became a member of the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department in 1998.  In mid 2001, he was selected to form a public relations department for the Jacksonville Association of Firefighters.  Mark was given the opportunity to build the department from the ground up, bringing the firefighters’ charitable efforts into the public eye.  This department helped increase the political strength of the firefighters, who in 2003,  were the driving force behind citywide elections, with 23 out of 27 firefighter-endorsed candidates winning their respective races.  Since the creation of a public relations office, over 85% of firefighter endorsed candidates have won the office they sought.

  In 2007, Mark was recognized by Community Connections of Jacksonville for his charitable efforts with the Jacksonville Firefighters, where he helped raise over $700,000 for charity since 2002.

  2008 was a busy year as Mark as he headed up the fight against Amendment One on behalf of the Florida Professional Fire Fighters.  He also managed a state house campiagn and assisted on several other political races.

  In addition to providing a means of affordable promotion for small businesses, Treglio Communications also specializes in public relations for fire service organizations.  Treglio Communications will assist fire departments and unions to achieve their goals in their quest for optimum public safety.

  Since 2004, Mark has been recognized by the International Association of Fire Fighters eight times for excellence in media with their IAFF Media Awards.  He is also a 2010 graduate of the IAFF Political Training Academy.
